What is Woga?

Water Yoga, or as we like to call it – Woga, is a low impact exercise where you perform yoga in water. It has a ton of health benefits ranging from improving balance to alleviating chronic pain. Woga is also known to improve concentration, promote well-being alongside acting as a stress-buster. It is led by Dr. Mani Pavitra, certified from WABA, an international body on aquatic body work. She’s also an orthodontist, a writer, social activist, just to name a few. Dr. Pavitra loves helping people discover their hidden potential and urges them to utilize it to the fullest.

Almost anyone and everyone can do it, as there is practically no pressure on any of your joints – the water gives you a sense of weightlessness. Your muscles are relaxed, your mind is calm and your whole body is at peace. It soothes the nervous system as well, promoting overall better health.

Now, why you should introduce Woga as a team building activity to your office?

You don’t need to know swimming, nor do you need to know yoga. Now isn’t that cool? No problem if you don’t know yoga. No problem if you don’t know swimming. Woga works in a way that allows anyone to participate without requiring any prior knowledge. It does, however, help your muscles stretch better than they would on land, as water lends a kind of weightlessness that is impossible to achieve on land.

Woga can work as a great activity to help your employees bond – all the while promoting wellbeing and fitness. Team building activities are extremely essential to an organization, and Woga is a fun and healthy way for your employees to bond and increase group cohesiveness, all the while being relaxed and at peace. And that, in the long run will surely increase productivity. Happy employees mean better employees!
So give Woga a try and find your inner peace as well!
